The Tenant (or La Inquilina in Spanish), is a project that involves two different phases in its making process: As a first Instance, the writing of a short novel based on the novel by the Colombian poet Javier Taffy which chronicles the life of Jovita Feijoó. She was a picturesque character of the popular culture of Santiago de Cali. She was recognized for her extravagant way of dressing and living, and her strong personality and civility.

The second part consists of an adaptation of the short novel to a graphic language. The main intention of an illustrated book is to make this wonderful character be known by younger generations.

Here, you will find my first approaches to the style of the illustrations.

Below you will find the character sketching and design process.

The newsletter goes hand in hand with the whole concept of the Mediterranean
floral campaign.  The idea is to show the news with clean elements, eye-catching
colors attached to the collection and tentative phrases that describe each set.
